The difference between Group Training & Labour Hire

What is Group Training?

Developed in the 1980s, Group Training is a uniquely Australian service that provides training and employment solutions for businesses, apprentices and trainees.

As a Group Training Organisation (GTO), we do all the heavy lifting for you – helping you to find, recruit and employ apprentices, and placing them with your business. You act as their host employer, engaging them to be trained and supervised under your watch. We then provide a registered training plan for your new starters to follow, and ongoing supervision and support to ensure that you and your apprentice are happy with their progression.

You get all the benefits of onboarding a new hire – and help them to grow their skills in line with your business goals – while we manage all the training, employment and administration tasks for you.

It’s not just a training service – it’s a way to help people build a career. As such, pastoral care and mentoring play a big part in the overall service delivery of a Group Training environment.

What is Labour Hire?

GetCareers acts as the bridge between jobseekers and businesses looking for the right candidate to join their team, helping to fill open roles. We seek, source and supply you with qualified personnel, who we pre-screen and vet before they come to you for an interview.

This helps you access skilled workers who are fully trained and qualified, and we provide ongoing support throughout their new role – whether it’s a full-time, contract, long-term, permanent or temporary position.
