Ensuring that air is safe to breathe and work in is vital for a healthy and productive work site. So it’s important that every busy job site has someone who can undertake this role.

Complete your training to test workplace atmospheres for gas and gas leaks

Gas Test Atmospheres is a nationally accredited course that empowers you with the skills and knowledge to conduct air testing in working environments. You’ll learn how to test atmospheres with a range of different tools, and understand the challenges and dangers of different types of gas and gaseous environments.

When you complete our course, you’ll have a qualification that can see you work on mine sites, manufacturing facilities, construction projects, and underground work facilities all across Australia.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, participants will:

  • Learn how to test and sample workplace atmospheres.
  • Know how to use different gas testing tools.
  • Understand the characteristics and hazards of different types of gasses.
  • Understand the dangers of gaseous environments, and what to do in these circumstances.

Course Requirements

To do this course, you will need:

  • Enclosed footwear (steel caps if possible).
  • Identification.
  • Unique Student Identifier (USI) Number.

For refresher courses please provide a copy of your previous Statement of Attainment upon enrolment.

*Construction Training Fund (CTF) Eligibility

Construction Training Fund (CTF) rebates apply if eligible.

The CTF provides funding support for training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the support of the Construction Training Fund in reducing the costs of training for eligible workers.

To be eligible for CTF Funding you must:

  • Be employed in an eligible construction industry.
  • Eligible construction industries are defined in the CTF Definition of Construction.
  • Be able to provide at least five (5) days of work no more than one (1) month prior to the course commencement date.
  • Talk to us upon enrolment in regard to your CTF funding application.

 

Completion

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive:

  • Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment
